I purchased eyeglasses from Lenskart in November 2025. Several months later I received a call from a number linked to a WhatsApp Business profile showing a verified badge, claiming my glasses were eligible for a free exchange. The caller asked me to share an OTP I had just received from Lenskart. Because the call referenced a real purchase and the WhatsApp profile appeared verified, I believed it was genuine and shared the OTP.
After the call, I checked my Lenskart account and found three exchange requests — one for my own eyeglasses and two for eyewear recently purchased for my wife. The replacement products listed eye powers that didn't match either of us. These requests were not initiated by me, yet they progressed through Lenskart's system: Approved → Out for Delivery → Delivered.
I reported this to Lenskart customer care. I was initially told the exchanges must have been created by me. After I pointed out the mismatched prescriptions, I was told a complaint would be filed and resolved by 2 September 2026, but I was not given a complaint or reference number at that time. I followed up several days later and was told the matter was still being investigated. As of now, I have not received a clear explanation of how these unauthorized exchange requests were created in my account, or a final resolution.
I'm sharing this so others are aware: never read an OTP aloud to an incoming caller, even if the call references a real purchase and even if the WhatsApp profile shows a verified badge — neither of those confirms that the specific action being requested is one you actually authorized. I'll update this review once Lenskart provides a resolution.

A Complete Nightmare – Think Twice Before Buying
This has been one of the most frustrating and exhausting purchasing experiences I have ever had. I am writing this review only because I don't want anyone else to go through what I experienced.
In April 2026, the installer sent by the vendor left my wall panel installation incomplete. Before leaving, he assured me that he would return the very next day to finish the job. He never came back. Despite repeated follow-ups, I was left with an unfinished installation and no meaningful support.
The vendor's after-sales service, in my experience, was extremely disappointing. I was repeatedly asked to pay transportation charges, and commitments that were made during the process were not fulfilled. Instead of receiving help, I was left to deal with the consequences on my own. My interactions with the vendor were unpleasant, and I felt I was spoken to in an unprofessional and disrespectful manner.
The incomplete work put me in a helpless position. Since the installation had already been started, other installers knew I had no real choice and quoted 2–3 times the normal installation cost. I had no option but to pay an additional ₹2,000–₹3,000 just to complete the installation. My total expenditure reached around ₹32,000 because of this entire ordeal.
The financial loss was significant, but the stress, wasted time, broken commitments, and complete lack of accountability were even worse. I expected a professional service after spending so much money. Instead, I was left chasing people, paying extra, and dealing with an unfinished project that should never have become my responsibility.
I am sharing my personal experience so that others can make an informed decision. Before spending your hard-earned money, carefully evaluate the vendor's installation service, after-sales support, and commitment to customers. Based on what I experienced, I cannot recommend them.
